Hosta Granny's Rouge OS (M)

(D. Beilstein) This is an originator stock plant from Doug and this wonderful introduction starts the season with yellow leaves and then becomes a light green. The outstanding red petioles remind the memories of granny's soft pink cheeks.  Dough uses this H. Sweet Susan x H. Hirao Majesty in his hybridizing program to pass on red legs and yellow leaves.  Flowers bloom on tall scapes from July to August.
