Picea pungens 'Ruby Teardrops'

This is the most blue of the Colorado spruces and the color even more so when the dozens of ruby-red cones emerge from each branch tip in the spring even on young plants! The cone color last for 2 months.  This unique characteristic and its low, globose growth habit will sure make it a favorite.  Very easy to grow and will be a head-turner in any garden.  Plant sun.  Zones 4-8
