A slow growing plant when young. Full sun promotes the darkest foliage. Was called Cimicifuga simplex. White bottlebrush flowers are extremely fragrant and bloom July-September. Well drained, humus rich, moist soils. Full Sun, Part Shade. (Z5-9)
