Asclepias are butterfly caviar. This long-blooming, bright white selection of Swamp Milkweed attracts butterflies and grows best in medium to wet soil. These plants are drought resistant long-lived and with quite a taproot - try not to move it. It is late to emerge in the spring and needs good drainage. These are indigenous to the New England area and grow well in meadow situations. Plant in Sun. (Zone 3)
