However, it spreads by thin rhizomes that grow 8"+ a year with foliage 6-8"t. Forms a thick, low evergreen ground cover. Reddish fall color. EVERGREEN. Plant in well-drained yet moist fertile soil in dappled shade or morning sun. Once established may tolerate dry shady gardens.
