From Guizhou Province in China, its large light lavender pink flowers and medium-sized leaves are similar to those of E, brachyrriuzum - elongated and arrow-shaped, with a corrugated texture. However, it spreads by thin rhizomes that grow 8"+ a year with foliage 6-8"t. Forms a thick, low evergreen ground cover. Reddish fall color. EVERGREEN. Plant in well-drained yet moist fertile soil in dappled shade or morning sun. Once established may tolerate dry shady gardens.
