Hosta Chris' Darkest Purple (S)

(C. Brinkmann NR)  Another nice introduction from this German breeder.  The shiny green leaves are held on dark purple petioles.  To show off the petiole color it is best to elevate it.  In late summer, dark purple scapes emerge above the foliage and hold purple flowers.
