The ever-coveted Himalayan Blue Poppy!  The Lingholm strain may be the easiest of the Blue poppies to grow, but still not easy in areas where hot, humid summers prevail.  Large, cup-shaped, sky blue flowers (3-4" wide) with contrasting golden stamens. Blooms in early-mid summer.   Prefers part shade in humus-rich, neutral to slightly acidic, moist but well-drained soils. Likes lots of organic matter.  DO NOT LET IT dry out during the growing season.  In areas of hot, humid weather (like the Northeast US), look for cooler microclimates and it can thrive.  A North facing slope, with light shade and a babbling brook nearby would be ideal.   Zone 5-7
